For those who have problems with sliding pedals -

Yesterday, we had our gig at Thistle Hall, and I was providing the kit. I went there and set it up, and thought of what someone had said about gaffering the pedals. So I did that. One piece of tape across the hit-hat and slave bd pedal heel rest things, and then a couple through, across the footboard and then one taping the back down. It was a carpet floor and the spikes were out (but that has never stopped them moving as much as they do before.) Anyways, 4 bands later (sound check and set, 30-40 mins each,) the pedals were still rock solid! All drummers were reasonably heavy players and the hithat stand was even swaying a bit as I tapped it, but no pedal movement whatsoever.

Thanks to whoever suggested the gaffer tape idea! It never occured to me before, but I now deffinately recommend it.
