I think part of the problem could be the fact that it's crappy Forum hardware, etc.

Hey no knocking Forum hardware!

My stuff doesn't really move at all - the whole kit is on carpet (the carpet of the room) then I've got car floor mats underneath my hi-hat pedal and my bass pedal.

Yeah mate. Same problem. Slave pedal slides a lot! P-101 or something I think. Carpet floor, spikes out, even put some velcro on the bottom. But I like the suggestion of taping it to the ground. Some heavy gaffer tape or something?

Maybe yours is better, I know your kit is newer...but still, I will knock it as much as I like.

Iron Cobra pedals have rubber grips under the pedals for extra grip on hard surfaces.
I find that having spurs out makes the sliding worse on wood.Ends up scratching the surface.

I wouldn't dream of spurs on wood, but I've got carpet, and technically, it should stick in and sit nicely. Maybe it's just the type of carpet.

I see. Dunno...the carpet in the room is really new...so it's quite fluffy. I'm just baffled at why it slides.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's it. I'll try and find a mat somewhere.

Aye, it does.

And about the RH-2000s - my drum tutor was trying to tell me it "wouldn't work" if I took the legs off, any idea why that would be?

Hell, I'm a heavy Pearl guy - but that doesn't mean I'm blind to flaws. No way will I have Forum level hardware on my next kit; it's all going to be 2000 series, and an Icon rack.

Yes Icon is an appropriate name for those racks.
